Thursday @ One Lunchtime Organ Recitals Return to Halifax Minster

Looking for a midweek musical escape in Halifax town centre? The much-loved Thursday @ One lunchtime organ recitals are back at Halifax Minster, running weekly until September 2025. These performances showcase some of the UK’s most talented organists in the stunning surroundings of this historic church.

Arrive early and enjoy a delicious buffet lunch from 12:15 PM (£7 per person)—the perfect way to relax before the music begins.

  • March 6 – Frankie Tempest
    Organ scholar at Leeds Minster and winner of the 2024 Oundle competition.
  • April 3 – Rebekah Okpoti
    Organist at Lancaster Priory and composer of the Anne Lister Organ Sonata.

    Music Director of Halifax Choral Society, performing a special recital for Maundy Thursday.
