21 May Halifax Business Improvement District seeks Discover Halifax Hub Managers
Halifax BID is opening a Discover Halifax Hub, as a trial for summer 2021, to promote Halifax, the businesses, cultural and heritage offer and to highlight the fantastic range of activity available to visitors, both local and from further afield. Halifax BID believe that this summer is a key opportunity for people to Rediscover Halifax and engage with the incredible variety of events available in Halifax and Calderdale.
Two part time posts of 20 hours a week for a fixed three-month term, potential to become permanent if trial proves successful.
Working hours would be between the hours of 8am and 6pm, including weekends and Bank Holidays.
Working as part of the Halifax BID team, specific duties will include public liaison with a focus on the delivery of information and marketing and working with partners to promote Halifax.
An excellent communicator, the successful applicant will need to be friendly, outgoing, flexible and adaptable to customers. A team worker, able to work on their initiative, self-motivated and the ability to plan workload is essential.
Candidates must have minimum of 3 GCSE’s, including Maths and English, a good command of the English language and be IT literate and will need excellent communication skills with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with a wide range of people.
Knowledge of social media an advantage.
The post will be based primarily in our Discover Halifax town centre Hub.
Salary £21000 pro rata
