About The Dirt
Hailing from the Pennines, The Dirt is a DIY alternative sonic psych-punk duo known for their heavy guitar loops, distortion, and stormy lyrics. This two-piece outfit brings a full-band energy with a unique genre-blending sound that appeals to both punk and psych enthusiasts.
- Sachiko, wielding a Rickenbacker guitar, uses two full pedal boards and a loop station to create spellbinding soundscapes.
- Jack, the percussionist, delivers heavy live drum loops and mesmerizing vocals that add a dynamic edge to their performance.
Described as the love child of Suicide and The Fall, with a hint of Spacemen 3, The Dirt’s sound is loud, fuzzy, and undeniably captivating. Despite being a duo, their music packs the punch of a full band.
Support Act: Fake
Opening the night is Fake, an indie punk band from Todmorden, West Yorkshire. With raw energy and catchy melodies, Fake blends punk attitude with indie sensibilities, delivering anthemic choruses and driving rhythms. Their music captures the angst and idealism of youth, making them a perfect complement to The Dirt’s intense sound.
Expect a set full of energy, rebellion, and fuzzed-out guitars that will get you moving.
