“Everyday, once a day, give yourself a present”

The music used throughout the Twin Peaks TV series and films has become as iconic as the cult show itself, over thirty years since Series 1 first aired. Working in partnership with the shows’ creator and director David Lynch, the late, great composer Angelo Badalamenti created and developed a series of spooky yet playful soundtracks, which fit perfectly alongside the quirky, captivating storylines and interactions between the many eccentric characters and idiosyncratic plot-lines.

Following an initial commission in 2019 to arrange this music for a performance context, Leeds-based pianist & composer Simeon Walker returns to Square Chapel after many years, to present music ranging across both Series 1 & 2 and the Fire Walk With Me film, alongside an ensemble of outstanding Northern-based musicians.

Expect classic pieces from the soundtrack such as Dance of the Dream Man, Falling and the sultry Audrey’s Dance; a touch of jazz, blues and rock & roll, as well as iconic Julee Cruise songs Into The Night, Questions in a World of Blue and more. There might even be a singalong too.

As the great Agent Cooper wisely said: ‘give yourself a present’.
