Discover Halifax Annual Report 2024-25: A Year of Growth and Community Impact
We’re excited to share the Discover Halifax Annual Report 2024-25, highlighting another year of progress, resilience, and community-driven initiatives in Halifax town centre.
This year marked the midway point of our second BID term, and despite challenges such as the ongoing A629 redevelopment, the town has continued to thrive. Footfall remains strong in many areas, and new investment projects—like improvements to the Market Hall—are shaping Halifax into an even more dynamic destination for businesses and visitors alike.
Some of our key achievements this year include:

Event Success – From the Starlight Parade to the first-ever Pumpkin Patch event, our events have boosted footfall and brought the community together.

Business Support – We have actively worked with local businesses, providing engagement sessions at the Discover Halifax Hub, supporting the Shop in Halifax Gift Card Scheme, and advocating for businesses affected by town centre developments.

Safety and Cleanliness – Through partnerships with Pubwatch, Shopwatch, and community safety teams, we have strengthened security efforts. We have also enhanced cleanliness with jet-washing projects and festive lighting to make Halifax more inviting.

Looking Ahead – In the coming year, we will focus on further improving town centre cleanliness, supporting businesses through training initiatives, and driving local engagement through our Proudly Halifax campaign.
