Light Up Halifax – Saturday 15 November 2025

This year marks the very first Light Up Halifax, a brand-new event launching six weeks of Christmas in Halifax. Taking place on Saturday 15 November, the day will be packed with live entertainment, family fun and festive experiences right across the town centre – all leading up to a spectacular light and music finale in the evening.

There’s plenty happening throughout the day, so wrap up warm, bring your family and friends, and make a full day of it.

It’s also the first weekend of The Piece Hall Christmas Markets, offering unique gifts, local crafts and seasonal treats. At Woolshops, families can take part in a Gingerbread Workshop, and we’ll also be launching our brand-new Christmas Trail and Gifting Trees across the town centre.
